The Garaventa Center for Catholic Intellectual Life and American Culture at the University of Portland (Ore.) has a new, interactive website that includes two podcasts by Rev. Charles Gordon, C.S.C.
Fr. Gordon is co-director of the Garaventa Center, the aim of which is to bring people together around the Portland’s mission as a Catholic university through lectures, conferences, symposiums, art exhibits and concerts. It was dedicated in June 2005.
In the podcast “Fractio Verbi,” Fr. Gordon reflects on each week’s Gospel readings. You can also find a transcript of the reflection on the site.
The Garaventa Center also sponsors a podcast that looks at popular cinema from the perspective of faith. Recent “Theodeon” podcasts by Fr. Gordon and Karen Eifler, Ph.D., co-director of the center, include discussions on “Despicable Me 2,” “The World’s End” and “Blue Jasmine.”
Check out Fr. Gordon’s podcasts on the Garaventa Center website.
