The school is located on the grounds of St. Brendan Catholic Parish in Kitete, Tanzania, and is managed by the Congregation of Holy Cross, Province of East Africa.
AVVTC has a current enrollment of 101 students for the 2024 academic year, with students attending from Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. The vocational training provided is supplemented with instruction in English, computer skills, mathematics, life skills, business, science, and religion with the aim to provide students better training skills for a better future.
The school recently completed construction of a new girls’ dormitory and an additional classroom block (pictures below) to prepare for anticipated growth in enrollment in the coming years.
Translation:
Work with me, Lord
Don’t leave me on the way
So that at the end of my journey I reach safely
You’re the life and the safety of my life
Do not leave me because you’re my Savior
In my challenges, you’re my nearest help
Forever I will praise with joyful hymns
