The Congregation of Holy Cross, U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth A. Keultjes to the new position of Director of Community Life and Health. In this new role, Keultjes will report to Rev. Peter A. Jarret, C.S.C., and will serve on the Provincial Leadership Team as a provincial assistant.Keultjes will focus on the physical and psychological health of the members and local communities of the U.S. Province. Working with the local superiors, she will be responsible for developing community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of wellness and also assist with spiritual programming for the Province such as coordinating the Superiors’ and Community retreats. Keultjes’ team includes Director of Health and Wellness Rev. Richard S. Wilkinson, C.S.C., Holy Cross House Administrator Rev. Mark B. Thesing, C.S.C., and Nurse Practitioner April Henry.
Keultjes brings over 25 years of experience working in Catholic healthcare, most recently as a vice president for Franciscan Alliance, Inc., which was founded and is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. Over her career with institutions such as IU Health, Trinity Home Health Services, Elkhart General Health System, and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, she has built best-in-class community care programs such as home skilled services, end of life services, wellness programs, school nursing, and many others.
Keultjes earned a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Notre Dame. She and her husband, Joe, were born in South Bend and recently celebrated 43 years of marriage. They have four children and are blessed with 13 grandchildren.
