The Easton (Mass.) Historical Society is planning a “Celebration of Stonehill” at an open house April 13.
Rev. John Denning, C.S.C., president of Stonehill College, will be the guest of honor at the event, which will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the society’s headquarters, 80 Mechanic St., Eason. Fr. Denning will arrive about 2 p.m. Stonehill’s Archives Department will have College artifacts, photos, memorabilia and publications on display.
“Since 1948, when Stonehillfirst opened for classes, the College has been a major part of Easton’s history and, with Fr. Denning in his first year as president, we felt it was a good time to highlight the College’s 66-year history and its relationship with the town,” explained Society Curator Frank Meninno.
