With abundant joy and thanksgiving, the United States Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross announces the ordination of four men to the priesthood. On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, The Most Reverend Arthur J.Colgan, C.S.C., D.D., Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Diocese of Chosica (Peru), conferred the Sacrament of Holy Orders on (pictured left to right) Rev. Robert Lisowski, C.S.C., Rev. David Smith, C.S.C., Rev. Felipe Campos Reséndez, C.S.C., and Rev. Geoffrey Mooney, C.S.C.
“We congratulate our brothers Felipe, Geoffrey, Robert and David as they are ordained to the ministry of the priesthood,” said Fr. Bill Lies, C.S.C., Provincial Superior. “They will be joyful ministers of the Sacraments, bringing hope to the people of God as His servants.”

Rev. Felipe Campos Reséndez, C.S.C.is the oldest of 3 children of Felipe and Nancy Campos of Laredo, Texas. He entered Holy Cross in August 2013 as a postulant, and made his First Profession of Vows on August 1, 2015. He made his Final Profession of Vows on September 4, 2020. Fr. Felipe earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., in 2013, and earned his M.Div. from the same in 2019.
Fr. Felipe served his diaconate year at St. Ignatius Martyr in Austin, TX. Prior to his ordination as a transitional deacon, he served as a hospital chaplain at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo. (2014-2015); as a prison chaplain at the St. Joseph County Jail (2015-2016); as an intern in Latino and African American Campus Ministry at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2016-2017); in marriage preparation at St. Pius X Parish, Granger, Ind. (2017-2018); as an assistant rector of Dillon Hall, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2018-2019); and as a pastoral intern at La Luz Parish, Monterrey, Mexico (2019-2020).
Fr. Felipe’s first Mass was celebrated on April 11, 2021 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Ind. He will continue to serve at St. Ignatius Martyr, Austin, TX as a parochial vicar.
Rev. Robert Lisowski, C.S.C.is the oldest of 3 children of Robert and Kathleen Lisowski of Old Forge, Pa. He entered the Congregation of Holy Cross in August 2014 as a Postulant. He made his First Profession of Vows on July 30, 2016. He made his Final Profession of Vows on September 4, 2020. Fr. Robert graduated with a B.A. in philosophy with minors in psychology and Classical Languages from St. John’s University, Queens, N.Y., in 2014. He earned his M.Div. from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., in May 2020.
Fr. Robert served his diaconate year as a rector at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. Prior to his ordination as a transitional deacon, he served as a hospital chaplain at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo. (2015-2016); as a chaplain at the Center for Hospice Care, South Bend, Ind. (2016-2017); as an instructor for Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind. (2017-2018); as co-founder and co-director of the Young Preachers Institute at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind. (2018-2019); and as assistant rector of Baumer Hall, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2019-2020).
Fr. Robert’s first Masses were celebrated onApril 11, 2021 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Ind. and at Baumer Hall, where he will continue to serve as rector.
Rev. Geoffrey Mooney, C.S.C.is the oldest of 3 children of Thomas and Sharon Mooney of New Albany, Ind. He entered the Congregation of Holy Cross in August 2014 as a Postulant. He made his First Profession of Vows on July 30, 2016. He made his Final Profession of Vows on September 4, 2020. Fr. Geoffrey earned a B.S. in mathematics and a B.A. intheology from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., in 2009. In 2011, he received his M.Ed. from the same, and earned his M.Div. from the University of Notre Dame in 2020.
Fr. Geoffrey served his diaconate year atChrist the King Catholic Church, South Bend, Ind. Prior to his ordination as a transitional deacon, he servedas a catechist for Religious Education at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, Woodland Park, Colo. (2015-2016); as a volunteer for job training and education at the Center for the Homeless, South Bend, Ind. (2016-2017); as an instructor for the Service Learning Course at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind. (2017-2018); in marriage preparation at St. Pius X Parish, Granger, Ind. (2018-2019); and as assistant rector of Alumni Hall, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2019-2020).

Rev. David Smith, C.S.C.is the oldest of 3 children of Joanne Liggio Smith and David R. Smith of Wantage, N.J. He entered the Congregation of Holy Cross in August 2014 as a postulant, and professed First Vows on July 30, 2016. He made his Final Profession of Vows on September 4, 2020. Fr. David earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. in 2014, and earned his M.Div. from the same in 2020.
Fr. David served his diaconate year at St. John Vianney Parish, Goodyear, Ariz. Prior to his ordination as a transitional deacon, he servedas a hospital chaplain at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo. and as a catechist for a catechist for Religious Education at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, Woodland Park, Colo. (2015-2016); as a counselor for Ryan’s Place, Goshen, Ind. (2016-2017); in the Bible Study Program for Notre Dame Campus Ministry, Notre Dame, Ind. (2017-2018); as assistant rector of Dunne Hall, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2018-2019); and as assistant director of Old College, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (2019-2020).
