Rev. Anthony Grasso, C.S.C., English professor at King’s College, will be published in an upcoming book about the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
Fr. Grasso recently presented a paper called “Luther’s Theology of the Cross: Redemptive Suffering and Vivian Bearing’s Death in Margaret Edson’s Play, ‘Wit'” at the Northeast Regional Meeting on the Conference on Christianity and Literature. The theme of the conference was “Literature of Luther: The Individual, Freedom and Grace” in advance of the anniversary. Fr. Grasso’s essay will be in a volume on the conference.
Meanwhile, Fr. Grasso also had a poem, “Time Warp,” accepted in this year’s “Poetry in Transit” series sponsored by the Luzerne County Transportation Authority. It will appear on LCTA billboards and buses through next summer.
Fr. Grasso was awarded an Innovation in Teaching grant by the Center for Excellence and Teaching at King’s last summer.
