A Holy Cross priest is being honored for his work in the labor-management field.
Rev. Patrick Sullivan, C.S.C., , Executive Secretary-Chaplain of the Labor Guild of the Archdiocese of Boston and a member of the U.S. Province’s Easton Community in North Easton, Mass., will receive the John F. Kennedy Memorial Award from the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.
The award will be given to Fr. Sullivan at the groups’ national convention in July in Verona, N.Y.
Fr. Sullivan entered the Congregation on Aug. 15, 1948, and was Ordained on June 8, 1956, in Fall River, Mass. He earned academic degrees from theUniversity of Notre Dame, Fordham University and Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
He served as Chairman of the Sociology Department atKing’s College and Director of the Undergraduate Program in Sociology at Notre Dame. Fr. Sullivan also has served as Director of Personnel and Planning for Holy Cross Fathers.
TheAncient Order of Hibernians is the oldest Irish Catholic Fraternal Organization in the United States.
