Holy Cross Parish-Dandora Strengthens Evangelization Efforts

Holy Cross Parish in Dandora-Nairobi, Kenya, recently completed two impactful projects aimed at fostering community development and enhancing pastoral outreach. The first project aimed to enrich the faith formation of ministry leaders, impacting 1,400+ individuals within the parish through bringing together church leadership and nurturing servant leadership within its ministries. Through offering retreats, training, social events, and opportunities for prayer and reflection amongst its ministry leaders, the parish has seen an increase in spiritual engagement among its parishioners and increased participation in parish liturgies and celebrations.
Additionally, a second project was implemented to address spatial constraints within the parish. Located within the heart of Dandora, expansion opportunities are limited for the parish, necessitating innovative solutions to accommodate the rising number of attendees for parish events. Through the generosity of benefactors, the Holy Cross Mission Center was able to provide funding for Holy Cross Parish to purchase nine tents and 300 chairs to substantially increase the parish’s capacity for liturgical celebrations and pastoral programs, and offering protection to parishioners from the sun and rain during events.
