St. Brendan School Constructs New Classroom Building

Established in 2020 and located in the foothills of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, St. Brendan Nursery & Primary School educates 266 students in Kitete, Tanzania–an area rich in natural beauty, yet one in which many live in poverty. With the average annual cost of tuition per student at $350 USD, many families struggle to pay. Of the 266 students enrolled in the school, 260 pupils live on site in the student hostels with only 6 students attending as day pupils. Additionally, St. Brendan employs 10 teachers and 16 staff members to manage the school campus.
Due to its continued growth and limited infrastructure, the school was in need of an additional classroom building. With your support, the Holy Cross Mission Center funded the construction of a 4-classroom building that was recently completed for use. See photos of the construction progress below.
