St. Felista Parish Receives New Pews
Located in Utegi-Musoma, Tanzania, St. Felista Parish was formally established in 2014 and has grown into a thriving community of over 2,500 families. Formerly a sub-parish of St. Bright Catholic Church in Kowaki-Musoma, the community has been using pews that were made in the 1960s and have been showing significant wear and tear from use over the years.
Through the generosity of benefactors, the Holy Cross Mission Center was able to provide funding for 132 new pews and kneelers for the church community. Several members of the parish community have expressed their joy and gratitude as the new pews add to the beauty of their parish church and enhance their desire to worship. Additionally, the new pews have provided more structure and comfort particularly for the elderly members of the community.
Enjoy a brief church tour from St. Felista Pastor Fr. Innocent Mwesigwa, C.S.C., and view before and after pictures below.
