The Congregation of Holy Cross, United States Province of Priests and Brothers held their U.S. Province Superiors Workshop on May 22-25, 2023, at Holy Cross Retreat Center in LaPorte, Indiana. The annual workshop pulls together Superiors from across the province (top picture in the photo above). The sessions included reports from provincial administration and department updates. Keynote speaker Sharon Devinney Ph.D., from Great Lakes Behavior Management, talked about “Life’s Transitions” and coping strategies.
The “Early Years” 2023 annual retreat was also held in LaPorte June 8 – 20, 2023. Twenty-three priests and brothers (pictured below in the above photo) attended the 3-day event for priests and brothers either ordained or who took their final vows in the last five years. They are invited to reconnect with each other and share the joys and challenges they’ve encountered in their ministries. The provincial administration also attends to discuss updates and other important matters happening in the Congregation. This year Rev. Michael Mathews, C.S.C., hosted the retreat and presented on Holy Cross religious identity.
