The University of Portlandhas been ranked 9th nationally among its peers in the number of students studying abroad by the Institute of International Education.
The University had 40 students study abroad for a semester or more in 2011-2012. UP has paced in the top 15 schools nationally for 13 years in a row.
UP’s Salzburg, Austria, program is celebrating 50 years and most of the 40 student studied in there. The yearlong program includes courses in art history, German and music supplemented by tours to France, Greece and Italy. Portland also offers study abroad experiences in London, Australia, Tokyo, Chile, Rome, Spain, Ireland and 25 locations worldwide through the Institute for the International Education of Students.
