The United States Province announced on Sept. 15, 2011, the solemnity of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Feast Day for the Congregation of Holy Cross, that University of Portland’s Event’s Director Bill Reed, along with eight others, were being honored as extraordinary lay collaborators with the annual Spirit of Holy Cross Award.
UP celebrated Reed’s award on Jan. 20, the annual celebration of the life of Blessed Basil Moreau, Holy Cross’ founder.
Now the Catholic Sentinel, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Portland, is also recognizing Reed for his zeal and dedication to the Holy Cross university.
